The Business

Our client is one of Australia's fastest growing service providers, operating multiple entities across Australia. Backed by private equity investment, the business is on a clear growth trajectory, with additional entities in the pipeline and ambitious plans to double in size through acquisition in the near term.

The Opportunity

This CFO role has been created as a direct result of significant growth ambitions and the internal promotion of the previous CFO. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take responsibility for the full spectrum of financial leadership across the Group, carrying both strategic and operational weight.

You will play a central role in the company's planned ASX listing, capital raising activities, and ongoing acquisition program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial strategy and execution plan for a potential ASX listing, including investor relations readiness, prospectus preparation and engagement with advisers
  • Develop and execute the company's long term funding strategy, including debt and equity capital raising in support of the acquisition pipeline
  • Provide financial modelling, due diligence support, and integration planning for acquisitions
  • Support the board and private equity stakeholders with reporting, analysis, and strategic advice
  • Own the end to end budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycle across the Group
  • Prepare accurate and timely end of month management reporting, including P & L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements, external audits, and all compliance obligations
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury functions
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes appropriate for a pre IPO or publicly listed entity
  • Drive scalability in financial systems and processes to support rapid growth trajectory
  • Work collaboratively with operational and corporate functions to embed financial discipline across the broader business
About You

To be considered for this role, you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification with demonstrated success as a senior finance leader (CFO, Finance Director or equivalent) in a high growth or fast scaling business
  • Proven experience with IPO preparation, capital raising, or working within a private equity backed environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understanding of AASB/IFRS standards
  • A track record of building and leading high performing finance teams
  • Experience managing multi entity or multi site financial operations
  • The presence and credibility to engage boards, investors, and external stakeholders with confidence
