Our client is a well established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join their finance team. • Ensure accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods
  • Support month end inventory counts, stock reconciliations and adjustments
  • Maintain and optimise ERP cost accounting modules, including bill of materials (BOM) structures, routings and cost centres
  • Prepare monthly management reports including COGS analysis, gross margin reporting and plant-level profitability summaries
  • Play a lead role in the annual budget process and monthly rolling forecast for manufacturing cost centres
  • Maintain the fixed asset register for plant, equipment and manufacturing assets
  • Partner with production supervisors, plant managers and operations leaders as a trusted finance business partner

About You

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • 3-5+ years' experience in cost accounting, management accounting or financial analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of standard costing methodologies, inventory valuation and variance analysis
  • Experience working with ERP systems and cost accounting modules
  • Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling and pivot tables
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable

  • Experience in mining, resources, chemicals or heavy manufacturing
  • Familiarity with bill of materials (BOM) structures and production routings
