This is a hands on Finance Manager opportunity with a well established, privately owned business in the distribution industry. They are backed by Private Equity and have operations across Australia. 

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day to day finance function while contributing to the broader strategic direction of the business.

About the Role

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyse financial data to support strategic planning and budgeting
• Conduct cost analyses and identify savings opportunities
• Oversee budget preparation and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations
• Review and improve accounting systems and procedures
• Evaluate business performance using key financial metrics
• Manage higher level debtor issues and oversee credit risk
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on mitigation strategies
• Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years in a senior finance role
• CPA or CA qualified
• Proven experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience leading and mentoring a finance team
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business
