Our client is a large, well-established organisation operating within the mining and heavy industry sector. With a strong national footprint and a genuine focus on people, they are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team and support the business through the next period. 

About the Role

Reporting into the HR Business Partnering Leader, this is a broad generalist role supporting all facets of HR across the organisation. You'll work closely with HR Business Partners across the employee lifecycle, providing hands-on advice and support to leaders and employees alike.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build and hone their skills as a true HR generalist within a complex, blue-collar environment, gaining exposure across the full breadth of the HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day HR advice and support to leaders and employees across the business
  • Support HR Business Partners with employee relations matters and performance management
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of HR processes including onboarding, offboarding and probation reviews
  • Support recruitment processes in partnership with Talent Acquisition
  • Contribute to policy interpretation, workplace investigations and case management
  • Assist with reporting, HR metrics and continuous improvement of HR processes and systems
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders and operational teams to understand business needs
  • Support the delivery of HR projects and initiatives across the employee lifecycle

About You

  • Prior experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role 
  • Sound working knowledge of employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging across all levels of the business
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine interest in developing a broad generalist skill set
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
