About the Role
This is a standalone HR Business Partner position reporting directly to the Group CFO, with close working relationships across the CEOs and leadership teams of each divisional business. You'll act as the trusted HR advisor across the group, covering everything from employee relations and performance management through to talent strategy and organisational design. This is a 5-days-in-office role based in Sydney, NSW.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partnering with the Group CFO, divisional CEOs and business leaders to understand what each part of the business needs from HR
- Developing and rolling out HR strategies that actually match the business objectives, not just a template off the shelf
- Managing employee relations end to end, including conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary matters
- Running talent management initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, training and development
- Digging into HR data and metrics to spot trends and flag where things need attention
- Keeping the business compliant with employment law and regulations as they change
- Advising managers through organisational design and restructuring
- Being the go-to person employees and managers trust for HR guidance, policy and best practice
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years' HR experience, ideally with exposure to multi-entity or group structures
- A business or commerce degree with an HR major
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice and current employment law
- Proven ability to build relationships and credibility at every level, from the C-suite down
- Sharp problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working solo without a team of HR people to lean on, this is a standalone role and you'll need to be self-sufficient
- Solid Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
