About the Role

A well-established electrical contracting and engineering business is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their executive team at their Wacol site. This is a hands-on, nationally focused generalist role with genuine strategic weight - reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting at the senior leadership table.

This is a 5-days-in-office role based in Wacol, Brisbane.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading a small HR team (one Advisor, two Assistants) and owning the full HR function nationally
• Managing ER/IR activity including direct engagement with unions
• Developing and implementing HR strategy aligned to business growth
• Providing generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle
• Overseeing and utilising the SAP HR system
• Liaising with an international parent-company HR function
• Contributing to executive-level decisions as part of the senior leadership team

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior generalist HR role, ideally in an industrial, trade, or engineering environment
• Strong ER/IR background with experience managing a unionised workforce
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels - you're not above rolling your sleeves up
• Experience with SAP or a comparable HRIS
• Exposure to a multinational or parent-company structure is a plus
• A values-driven leader who builds culture, not just compliance
