Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility for extension. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse mix of projects across heavy industry, with genuine scope to take ownership of your work.

About the role

You'll be responsible for producing accurate, detailed structural drawings across both concrete and steel structures. A key part of this role is producing fabrication drawings and shop details, so hands-on experience with Advance Steel is essential.

What you'll be doing

• Producing structural drawings for concrete and steel structures across a range of project types
• Developing fabrication drawings and shop details using Advance Steel
• Working within AutoCAD to produce general arrangement and detail drawings
• Collaborating with structural engineers to ensure drawings meet design intent and Australian Standards
• Reviewing and checking the work of junior drafters/designers

What you'll need

• Demonstrated experience as a Structural Designer/Detailer, ideally at a senior level
• Strong working knowledge of Advance Steel, used to produce fabrication drawings and shop details
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience designing and detailing both concrete and steel structures
• Availability to commit to a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension
