Our client is a well established Global business, managing a diverse portfolio of assets across Australia and New Zealand. With a collaborative finance team, a hands on leadership culture, and genuine scope to make your mark, this is a standout opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant who is ready to step into a team leadership role — or consolidate their experience in one.

Based in their Brisbane CBD Head Office and reporting to the Finance Manager, this role carries broad responsibility across both property and corporate accounting, with direct oversight of a team of three or more accountants.

The Role

You will take ownership of end to end financial accounting across a portfolio of properties, while also contributing to key corporate finance functions. Your day to day will span:

  • Quarterly reviews and forecasting in collaboration with property managers and building owners
  • Annual budget preparation, audit support, statutory financial statements and tax returns (BAS/GST/FBT/corporate tax)
  • Corporate accounting including payroll journals, board pack reporting, credit card oversight and consolidated balance sheet reconciliations
  • Debtors management and arrears review
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of accountants
  • Identifying and driving process and system improvements
  • Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders including Property General Managers and the COO

About You

You are CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of five years' accounting experience, and you bring:

  • Demonstrated multi-entity accounting experience — you are comfortable preparing and reviewing accounts across multiple companies or branches
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills — you can confidently explain financial results to a range of stakeholders
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach with examples to back it up
  • Experience in Microsoft Business Central and/or BI360 is advantageous
  • Property management or real estate sector experience is a plus, but not essential

What's on Offer

  • A high autonomy role with real scope and variety across property and corporate finance
  • A growing organisation with a genuine team culture and a clear career pathway
  • Brisbane CBD location
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership including the General Manager Finance and CFO
